Dillon Valley Elementary School – Summit School District RE-1
This typical interior shot shows the carpet teaching circle, indirect lighting and the wall hung tackboards.
The new addition was designed to match the existing building while still having its own identity.
At the west end of the building, a new separate entry was incorporated. This new entry is for the Pre-school classroom. The Pre-school playground was added at the front of the school.
The connecting corridor also was designed to bring existing design concepts into the new addition. The natural daylighting, solar gain, and thermal storage are shown here..
As part of a district mill levy, Dillon Elementary is getting an addition to house two kindergarten classes and a pre-school. In addition to the new class rooms a new roof was installed and various renovations took place on the interior.
