Part of a K-8 campus design which began with site studies by TAB Associates, Inc. in 2015 was to create a new campus from the existing campus with Eagle Valley Elementary
Master planning, design assist and full Construction Administration. TAB Associates completed Master planning prior to the 2016 bond. We teamed up with DLR for the design and document portions. Renovations to an existing structure built in sections from the 1980’s and 1990s. Additions and renovations need to accommodate expanding capacity, student flow and mechanical systems as well as expansion from 450 to 600 students. Renovations addressed all portions of the school
Eagle Valley Middle’s main building was built in the 1980’s with a major addition in the 90’s and smaller renovations since. The school was created for a smaller capacity and as the area has grown the capacity increased and thus the school suffered. Security issues with cramped hallways, classroom sizes and un sustainable systems were all addressed in the additions and renovations.
The new design provided for a better school flow by moving the media center and creating pods for the classrooms. Administration was moved for a safer entry to the school and proximity to the new cafeteria and gymnasiums.
An extra added at this site is a commissary kitchen which serves the entire district by providing a central kitchen for food prep as well as a teaching kitchen and office space for district personnel.
