Strawberry Park Elementary School – Steamboat Springs School District

Strawberry Park Elementary – Renovations and Additions; $3 million; 2019-2020. Final cost $5 Million.

Strawberry Park Elementary is an existing single story structure which will receive a single story, 2,500sqft addition building to house new Art & Music rooms. The existing Art & Music rooms will be renovated to create a new cafeteria which will also include an encroachment into the existing Arcade. Two existing classrooms will be renovated to pre-k classrooms and a new playground will be added, within a fenced-in area that is accessible from the newly renovated pre-K classrooms. New exterior finishes will be designed to match existing exterior finishes. The site work will include a new trash container, a separation between the kitchen deliveries drive, a new, snow melted pre-K playground, and paving an existing maintenance road around the building.

It was important to the School District that we make the addition appear as if it was part of the original school. So, matching of exterior materials was very important.
